About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our team. In this full-time, remote position, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help drive strategic business decisions. This role requires a professional with 1 year of experience who is eager to contribute to a data-driven environment and grow their analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Collect and interpret data from various sources, identifying trends and patterns relevant to business objectives.
- Perform thorough data analysis using statistical techniques and generate comprehensive reports.
- Develop and implement data collection systems, data analyses, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Maintain and update databases and data systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret complex data sets, locating and correcting data-related issues.
- Create and present clear, concise data visualizations and reports to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 1 year of proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in database querying languages, particularly SQL.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of clearly presenting findings to various audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirement
- Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field.
- Experience with advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certification in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
