About the Job
Test Company is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as an entry-level UC Ruby Analytics Manager. Despite the "Manager" title, this is an individual contributor role designed for recent graduates with 0 years of professional experience, focused on managing and deriving insights from data, not people. In this role, you will leverage your foundational knowledge of Ruby and analytical principles to support our data-driven decision-making processes. You will be instrumental in collecting, processing, and analyzing data, contributing to reports and dashboards that provide critical business intelligence. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in analytics, working closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of various datasets using Ruby scripting and other tools.
  • Perform preliminary data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Develop and maintain basic reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators and analytical findings.
  • Support the analytics team in ad-hoc data requests and investigative analyses.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand data sources and requirements.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data processes, definitions, and analytical methodologies.
  • Continuously learn and apply new analytical techniques, tools, and best practices, particularly those involving Ruby for data manipulation and automation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0 years of professional experience; recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated foundational knowledge and practical experience with the Ruby programming language (e.g., academic projects, personal projects).
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL for data querying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Requirement
  • Internship experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or software development role.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Exposure to other scripting languages like Python for data analysis.
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Any project experience related to "UC" frameworks or similar Ruby ecosystems is a plus.
