About the Job
bangcomp is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Backend Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services that power our next-generation applications. If you have a solid foundation in Node.js, hands-on experience with NestJS, and proficiency with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB, along with caching solutions such as Redis, we want to hear from you. You'll contribute directly to creating high-value, impactful products within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS.
- Work with various database technologies, including relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB), to manage and optimize data storage solutions.
- Implement and manage caching mechanisms using Redis to improve application responsiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and foster team growth.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, scalability, and other backend issues.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and product value.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and a solid understanding of its asynchronous nature.
- Hands-on experience with the NestJS framework.
- Familiarity with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
- Basic understanding and practical experience with caching solutions like Redis.
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in building and consuming APIs.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Requirement
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Understanding of security best practices for backend applications.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-paced environment.
