About the Job
UCTalent is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented AI Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) to join our innovative team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about ensuring the reliability, performance, and robustness of cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. As an AI Engineer (QAQC), you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to validate AI models, data pipelines, and deployments, contributing directly to the quality and integrity of our AI-powered products. This is an individual contributor role focused on defining and executing QAQC processes for AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks for AI models, including unit tests, integration tests, performance tests, and adversarial testing.
- Design and execute data validation and quality control procedures for AI training and inference data pipelines.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models in production environments, identifying anomalies, biases, and degradation over time.
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, data scientists, and MLOps engineers to integrate QAQC practices throughout the entire AI lifecycle, from data ingestion to model deployment.
- Document testing protocols, results, and quality metrics to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Automate QAQC processes and build tools to streamline validation workflows for AI systems.
- Analyze root causes of model failures and data quality issues, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
- Contribute to the establishment of best practices for ethical AI, including fairness testing and bias detection.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Solid foundational understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts, algorithms, and models.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python).
- Basic knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Requirement
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Familiarity with major machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with MLOps practices, including model versioning, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for ML, and model monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of statistical methods for quality control and experimental design.
- Experience with data quality tools or frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Pandas Profiling).
- Understanding of ethical AI principles, fairness, and interpretability techniques.
- Basic experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
