Test Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented *Test post job
  • (Specialty: IT Support Engineer) to join our growing team on a part-time basis. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for providing essential technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This position is ideal for an individual with approximately 1 year of experience looking to grow their career in IT support. You will operate as an individual contributor, reporting to a senior team member, and will play a crucial role in maintaining our operational efficiency. This is a remote/flexible position, with location to be determined.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all IT-related issues via phone, email, or chat.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system problems.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution using our ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripheral devices, and software applications.
  • Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and deletion.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams as necessary.
  • Participate in IT asset management activities, including tracking inventory.
  • Adhere to IT security policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT support documentation and knowledge base articles.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1 year of professional experience in an IT support role or relevant internship experience.
  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS), network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and common office applications (Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Requirement
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation).
  • Experience with a ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Familiarity with remote support tools.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
